JD Show Horses

JD Show Horses will provide everything necessary to prepare your horse back at the stall area while at a horse show. Any horses which need a fake tail are asked to provide their own.
We can also provide help in finding a new horse, designing a show wardrobe and in selecting new tack and equipment.

Rates & Charges
JD Show Horses

Training: Full Time Training: $1250 per month. Training includes board with 3-5 days of training and two (2) days off. Turnout when available. Per day price will be $45
1 group lesson a week is included in training price, extra lessons will be billed accordingly. Horses in training will receive discounted additional lessons-$55 for a private, $40 for a group
BOARDING: WE ARE CURRENTLY NOT ACCEPTING "JUST BOARDING" HORSES, ALL HORSES THAT ARE BOARDED MUST HAVE A RIDER IN OUR LESSON PROGRAM. BOARD IS FULL CARE BOARD, INCLUDES DAILY HAY, GRAIN, WATER, STALLS CLEANED A MINIMUM OF 5 DAYS A WEEK AND WEATHER PERMITTING TURN OUT. WE DO TURN OUT INDOORS DURING THE WINTER IF THE WEATHER IS TOO BAD FOR THEM TO GO OUTSIDE. $950 A MONTH All horses not in training will be at this price. If we use horse for lessons, $10 per ride will be deducted
Lessons: 1 Hour private lesson (recommended for beginners): $75
1 Hour group lesson (recommended for students that have rode): $50
All Lessons will book through our booking portal. Discount available for riders who ride EVERY WEEK. Please discuss with Jessica.

Show fee: Minimum $600 per day/ per rider split, if the total number of horses/riders does not equal $600 per day. $100 per day, for horses in training. $175 per day for horses not in training, but taking lessons. $200 per day for use of JD SHOW HORSES horse. This charge includes care of horse as well as coaching and instruction at the show. This charge applies regardless of the client showing, if the horse is under the care of JD Show Horses. This fee also helps cover the expense of JDSH providing grooming supplies while at the show. Clients are asked to supply whatever grooming supplies they want but it is NOT required! If additional Labor is needed for the show, the expense of labor will be divided amongst each horse. Price determined by each situation.
Finance Charge: Any bills that go past 15 days will be charged a $50 late fee per 15 days.
Pre-Paid Stalls: We will not prepay for anyone’s stall unless we have a check for your horse at the time, we send payment in. Example: I will email everyone saying, “on February 2 I am sending a check to SOQHA for May Madness stalls, Madness stall is $250.” You MUST have a check for $250 for your stall prior to February 2 to be included in our count, otherwise you will have to contact association yourself to be stalled with us.
Hauling: $1.75 per mile for 1 horse, roundtrip. $175 minimum
Hotel: Will be split amongst the clients attending the show. Owners with more than one horse will be billed one share.
Tack Stall Split: Will be split amongst the clients by the show committee or by the trainer (to be billed). Owners with multiple horses in training will be billed by the horse. More than six horses will require a second tack stall.
Sales Commission: 10% of the selling/purchase price. Applies to all horses bought or sold through JD Show Horses as agent/intermediary. A $100 day fee will be charged if we coordinate, do paperwork and finalize a lease agreement as well. All Deposits for horses bought from JD Show Horses are non-refundable unless a vet check is performed.
Farrier-horses will be shod on a maximum of 6 week schedule. JD Show Horses will not be responsible for paying the farrier. $10 billing fee will be applied to any invoices billed by JD Show Horses for the farrier.
