JD Show Horses
Effective January 1 2019
Time Training: $750 per month.
Training includes board with five (5) days working and two (2) days off. Turnout
is available. Per day price will be $30
lesson a week is included in training price, extra lessons will be billed
accordingly. During the week of a show, exhibitors with horse(s) in training
will be aloud 2 lessons for that week at no extra charge. With New Price Horses in training
will receive discounted additional lessons-$40 for a private, $25 for a group
WE ARE CURRENTLY NOT ACCEPTING "JUST BOARDING" HORSES, ALL HORSES
THAT ARE BOARDED MUST HAVE A RIDER IN OUR LESSON PROGRAM. BOARD IS FULL CARE
BOARD, INCLUDES DAILY HAY, GRAIN, WATER, STALLS CLEANED A MINIMUM OF 5 DAYS A
WEEK AND DAILY (WEATHER PERMITTING) TURN OUT. WE DO TURN OUT INDOORS DURING THE
WINTER IF THE WEATHER IS TOO BAD FOR THEM TO GO OUTSIDE. $550 A MONTH All horses not in training will be at this
price. If we use horse for lessons, $10 per ride will be deducted
private lesson (only available to children 6 and under):
private lesson (recommended for beginners): $55
group lesson (recommended for students that have rode): $40
Lessons: $50 for 1 hour, please bring your own tack
Trip Charge for Lessons: $50, free if
within 15 miles
Lesson Package-available to weekly lesson students only: 10
Due to our heavy schedule and waiting
list please follow our lesson cancellation policy if you must cancel or change
Students that ride weekly must pay
for their month of lessons by the 1st of every month. Example: There are 4
Tuesdays in the month of October, so due by October 1st is $140 for your
Tuesday group lessons. If you are going to be absent for 1 of those Tuesdays
you write the day you will be gone in the memo line and deduct your lesson.
This system took effect November 1st 2015. IF JD Show Horses and CEC Equestrian
Center need to cancel lessons we will reschedule you at no extra charge or
credit your pre-paid lessons to the following month.

hours we will try to reschedule you for the same week at no extra charge, if
there is no availability for the same week we will look to the following week
to reschedule with a surcharge of $5.
you cancel without rescheduling the
cancellation charge is $50-if you have prepaid for your lesson, there will be
no extra charge.

please show up for your rescheduled lesson. If you do not show up for your
rescheduled lesson, we will not reschedule another lesson and you will forfeit
pre-paid lesson money or be charged $50.
$45 per day, for
horses in training. $150 for horses
not in training, but taking lessons. This charge includes care of
horse as well as coaching and instruction at the show. This charge applies
regardless of the client showing, if the horse is under the care of JD Show
Horses. This fee also helps cover the expense of JDSH providing grooming
supplies while at the show. Clients are asked to supply whatever
grooming supplies they want but it is NOT required! If
additional Labor is needed for the show, the expense of labor will be divided
amongst each horse. $75 a day for help.
IEA Day Fee: $50
IEA Team Fee: Due at the beginning of the season, $125
IEA Hotel: If a hotel is needed for the coach, the charge
will be split amongst all riders showing
All IEA Invoices are due prior to the rider showing. Any over
due invoices will result in the rider not showing.
Finance Charge: Any bills that go past 30 days will be
charged a 1.5% fee.
Credit Card: 3% fee on all credit card payments
Pre-Paid Stalls: We will not prepay for anyone’s stall unless we have a
check for your horse at the time, we send payment in. Example: I will email
everyone saying, “on February 2 I am sending a check to SOQHA for May Madness
stalls, Madness stall is $250.” You MUST have a check for $250 for your stall prior
to February 2 to be included in our count, otherwise you will have to contact
association yourself to be stalled with us.
$0.75 per mile for 1 horse,
1 owner with
2 or more horses is $0.50 per mile per horse, roundtrip.
Will be split amongst the clients attending the show. Owners with more than one
horse will be billed one share.
Will be split amongst the clients by the show committee or by the trainer (to
be billed). Owners with multiple horses in training will be billed by the
horse. More than eight horses will require a second tack stall.
Commission: 10% of the selling/purchase price. Applies to all horses sold
through JD Show Horses as agent/intermediary.
non-pro and open: Winnings are to be split after subtracting the entry fee.
Late fees are not to be included.
The following are the responsibility of the owner: stall fees, farrier, bedding, entries, veterinary care, supplements, laundry of blankets, medications and dental work. Owners are asked to provide a neoprene girth and a quality work pad in order to prevent any spread of fungus. JD Show Horses will put horses on a schedule which it deems appropriate for the horse’s health and performance.
JD Show Horses will provide everything necessary to prepare your horse back at the stall area while at a horse show. Any horses which need a fake tail are asked to provide their own.
We can also provide help in finding a new horse, designing a show wardrobe and in selecting new tack and equipment.
