Summer Camp Information!
 
May 29-June 1- Schools out Beginner Camp, Ages 7 and up or less than 1 yr of riding experience. $320
           SCHOOLS OUT!! LET’S CELEBRATE! This camp is designed for the beginner horse lover! We will be focusing on teaching the rider proper horse safety, horse care, grooming, feeding, saddling, and beginner riding skills. Riders will enjoy riding a variety of horses to experience what is all offered in riding horses. We will also be enjoying talks from our farrier, vet, and other equine professionals. After this camp, each participant will be invited to participate in our Farm Show, July 28, details will be provided at the camp. Riders will need to pack a lunch, extra drinks and snacks will be provided. Each camper will receive a camp shirt and a memory item! FULL

June 4-6-Beginner Mini Camp, Ages 5-7 only. $275
This camp is designed for the beginner horse lover! We will be focusing on teaching the rider proper horse safety, horse care, grooming, feeding, saddling, and beginner riding skills. Riders will enjoy riding a variety of horses to experience what is all offered in riding horses. We will enjoy fun horse games, crafts and get the riders comfortable riding independently. Parents will be invited to watch your rider ride on Wednesday June 6 from 1:30-3pm to watch your rider! After this camp, each participant will be invited to participate in our Farm Show, July 28, details will be provided at the camp. Riders will need to pack a lunch, extra drinks and snacks will be provided. Each camper will receive a camp shirt and a memory item! This camp is limited to 10 riders. FULL

June 7-10-Horse Show Enthusiast Camp, Intermediate to Advanced, $450
This camp is for the rider that has at least 2 years of riding experience or has been approved to join this camp. If rider owns their own horse and would like to use it for this camp contact Jessica Daniels for additional information. Riders will spend a majority of their time riding and preparing their horse to compete at a horse show. Campers will brush up their riding skills, learn how to band/braid, clip, execute patterns and other details needed to attend a show. On Sunday June 10 riders will get the opportunity to show at the Reality Dreams Open Horse Show in Lancaster, Ohio. Camp fee includes camp instruction, use of horse, preparing horse and rider for the show, hauling to the show, entry fees, stall fees, and use of tack. Riders will be responsible for supplying their own show clothes, some show clothes may be available to borrow. Riders are also invited to participate in our Farm Show, July 29, details will be provided at camp. Riders will need to pack a lunch, extra drinks and snacks will be provided. Each camper will receive a camp shirt. This camp is limited to 4 english and 4 western riders.

June 11-15- First Days of Summer, Summer Camp, Ages 7 and up, Open to All Riding Levels! $375
            Come spend the first days of summer at the BARN!! This camp is designed for the Ultimate horse lover! We will be focusing on teaching the rider proper horse safety, horse care, grooming, feeding, saddling, and starting or furthering riding skills. Riders will enjoy riding a variety of horses to experience what is all offered in riding horses. As always there will be fun activities, lots of learning and enjoying time with the horses! After this camp, each participant will be invited to participate in our Farm Show, July 29, details will be provided at the camp. We look forward to making it a memorable experience! Riders will need to pack a lunch, extra drinks and snacks will be provided. Each camper will receive a camp shirt and a memory item! FULL

July 23-28- Intermediate to Advanced Rider Camp! $400
            This camp is for the rider that has at least 2 years of riding experience or has been approved to join this camp. If rider owns their own horse and would like to use it for this camp contact Jessica Daniels for additional information. Riders will spend a majority of their time riding. We will also be introducing riders to different disciplines to broaden their awareness of the industry. Each rider will be assigned a horse for the entire camp, they will work with that horse to further their bond, and prepare that horse to show in our Farm Show July 30. During this camp riders will be advancing their riding skills and goal planning. We will be going over where riding can take you (collegiate riding), awards, scholarships, etc. On Friday July 27, riders will be at the barn all day and stay for a special barn sleep over!! We will have a camp cook out and be sleeping in tents. Participants will need to bring sleeping bags, pillows, pjs, etc! On Saturday July 29, riders will prepare their horse for our Farm Show, starting at 10am! Riders will need to pack a lunch, extra drinks and snacks will be provided. Each camper will receive a camp shirt and a memory item! Limited Spots available

·         Each Camp runs from 9am-3pm.
·         Optional drop off early or pick up late options available.
·         Affordable payment plans are also available.
·         Minimum of 5 kids required otherwise camp will be cancelled, full refund will be available to anyone that had already paid. Waiting list will be started once camp has reached capacity. Order will be in date of when registration was received.
·         Registrations will not be accepted without full payment, unless payment plan is set up. In order to receive a refund, we must give a 30 day notice. A $100 processing fee will be deducted from refund.
·         If your rider would like to attend more than one camp, discounts available.
·         Early Bird, sign up 1 month in advance to the camp start date, save $20
·         Camp registration deadline is 1 week prior to the camp unless spots are available.

Horse Club!!

· Available certain Saturdays, each participant spends a total of 2 1/2 hours learning about the horse. DATES FOR HORSE CLUB IS POSTED ON THE HOME PAGE. MUST RSVP!

This fun and interactive program at Concord Equestrian Center will give your horse enthusiasts the education and riding skills to become a great horseman! Riders must have an evaluation lesson prior to joining horse club!
 


Rates & Charges
JD Show Horses

Training:        Full Time Training: $650.00 per month. Training includes board with five (5) days riding and two (2) days off. Turnout is available.
 
                       
 1 lesson a week is included in training price, extra lessons will be billed accordingly. During the week of a show, exhibitors with horse(s) in training will be aloud 2 lessons for that week at no extra charge.

 BOARDING: WE ARE CURRENTLY NOT ACCEPTING "JUST BOARDING" HORSES, ALL HORSES THAT ARE BOARDED MUST HAVE A RIDER IN OUR LESSON PROGRAM. BOARD IS FULL CARE BOARD, INCLUDES DAILY HAY, GRAIN, WATER, STALLS CLEANED A MINIMUM OF 5 DAYS A WEEK AND DAILY (WEATHER PERMITTING) TURN OUT. WE DO TURN OUT INDOORS DURING THE WINTER IF THE WEATHER IS TOO BAD FOR THEM TO GO OUTSIDE. BOARD PACKAGE ALSO INCLUDES ONE GROUP LESSON A WEEK. $550 A MONTH

 
Lessons:         Half-hour private lesson (recommend for young/small children): $30
                      1 Hour private lesson (recommended for beginners): $50
                      1 Hour group lesson (recommended for students that have rode): $35
                      Haul in Lessons: $50 for 1 hour, please bring your own tack
                       Lessons for horses boarded at but not in training: $30 an hour
                       Trip Charge for Lessons: $40, free if within 15 miles
 
·        Students that ride weekly will pay for their month of lessons by the 1st of every month. Example: There are 4 Tuesdays in the month of October, so due by October 1st is $140 for your Tuesday group lessons. If you are going to be absent for 1 of those Tuesdays you write the day you will be gone in the memo line and deduct your lesson. In the event you are sick or have an emergency situation you can reschedule your lesson for the same week at no charge, if notice is given 24 hours in advance. If notice is given the day of your lesson you will forfeit your lesson money. In the event we have to cancel lessons we will reschedule you or credit you for the following month. This system is being started due to the extensive no shows, last minute cancellations, non payments, and our waiting list.

·        This system took effect November 1st 2015.
 
 
Due to our heavy schedule and waiting list please follow our lesson cancellation policy if you must cancel or change your lesson.

Students that ride weekly must pay for their month of lessons by the 1st of every month. Example: There are 4 Tuesdays in the month of October, so due by October 1st is $140 for your Tuesday group lessons. If you are going to be absent for 1 of those Tuesdays you write the day you will be gone in the memo line and deduct your lesson. This system took effect November 1st 2015. IF JD Show Horses and CEC Equestrian Center need to cancel lessons we will reschedule you at no extra charge or credit your pre-paid lessons to the following month.

Please follow this Cancellation Policy:
1-Text Jessica at 740-361-9411 immediately when you know you won’t be able to make your lesson.
·       If your cancellation is over 24 hours we will reschedule you for the same week or following week at no extra charge.
·       If your cancellation is less than 24 hours we will try to reschedule you for the same week at no extra charge, if there is no availability for the same week we will look to the following week to reschedule with a surcharge of $5.
·       If you cancel without rescheduling the cancellation charge is $50-if you have prepaid for your lesson, there will be no extra charge.

2-AFTER you have messaged Jessica please show up for your rescheduled lesson. If you do not show up for your rescheduled lesson, we will not reschedule another lesson and you will forfeit pre-paid lesson money or be charged $50.

Horse Leases: Several lesson horses are available for students to lease.

Show fee:       $40.00 per day, for horses in training. $50 for horses not in training, but taking lessons. This charge includes care of horse as well as coaching and instruction at the show. This charge applies regardless of the client showing, if the horse is under the care of JD Show Horses. This fee also helps cover the expense of JDSH providing grooming supplies while at the show. Clients are asked to supply whatever grooming supplies they want but it is NOT required!
 
Hauling:          $0.75 per mile for 1 horse, roundtrip.  
1 owner with 2 or more horses is $0.50 per mile per horse, roundtrip. 
$75 minimum
 
Hotel:              Will be split amongst the clients attending the show. Owners with more than one horse will be billed one share. 
 
Tack:               Will be split amongst the clients by the show committee or by the trainer (to be billed). Owners with multiple horses in training will be billed by the horse. More than eight horses will require a second tack stall.
 
Braiding:         $60
 
Banding:         $40
 
Video for the sale of a horse: $25.00 the horse will be prepared as if to show.
 
Sales Commission: 10% of the selling/purchase price. Applies to all horses sold through JD Show Horses as agent/intermediary.
 
Futurities, non-pro and open: Winnings are to be split after subtracting the entry fee. Late fees are not to be included.
 
The following are the responsibility of the owner: stall fees, farrier, bedding, entries, veterinary care, supplements, laundry of blankets, medications and dental work. Owners are asked to provide a neoprene girth and a quality work pad in order to prevent any spread of fungus. JD Show Horses will put horses on a schedule which it deems appropriate for the horse’s health and performance.
 
 
 JD Show Horses will provide everything necessary to prepare your horse back at the stall area while at a horse show. Any horses which need a fake tail are asked to provide their own.
 
 
We can also provide help in finding a new horse, designing a show wardrobe and in selecting new tack and equipment.
